Did you know it's National Pie Week this week? Well I didn't but inspired by a recipie on one of my favourite bloggers sites I decided to go for it and make my first one ever. It was a minted lamb and vegetable pie and the recipie was from Helen over at The Crazy Kitchen.



Finding the time to dawdle in the kitchen is difficult with a baby and toddler. Then add in an after School club pick up and I knew I would have to prepare the filling early or it would be impossible. Armed with all my ingrediants I started it off as Helen did but the girls started to kick off, so I ended up sticking it all in the slow cooker instead of the oven. luckily for me it worked out perfectly.

I'm vegetarian so didn't eat it but the girls, my Dad and Husband did… in fact all of them had seconds. It was polished off completely. I think we can safely say it was a success and I will be making more.
